 Does exactly what was needed July 26, 2010

I recently purchased a new Alpine in-dash receiver with DVD player. I have no intention of watching a DVD while driving, but the difficulty of hooking up the two brake interconnects in my car had me looking for an alternative.
Enter the PAC TR7. Very simple hook-up, works perfectly, and eliminates the wierd conniptions Alpine requires to get the DVD player to work even with the brakes connected. Well worth the cost and will buy another in the future for any installation that requires brake interconnects.

I Just used this as a very mundane "latching" relay to make it possible to use a momentary push button for a headlight dimmer. the pac-7 can do much more...but it worked pefectly, and added the bonus, since I powered it with my headlight switch, of always returning to the "low beam" setting when the lights were switched off. I would recommend this for the use I used it for!

I purchased this hoping to bypass video on my Pioneer AVH-P4200DVD. After going online AND speaking with customer service multiple times, we could not get this to perform the bypass. It was determined to be faulty and I returned the product. Additionally, I found a significantly cheaper and simpler solution. While it may have tons of uses, it could perform the default function.

Purchased the TR-7 for use with Alpine ixa-w407 to bypass the head unit's "safeguard" to only allow setup configurations and iPod video when parked. The TR-7 works perfectly with the w407. All setup windows and iPod video are accessible all the time now. Instructions look a little intimidating at first, but then became much easier when I realized the until was pre-programmed with the Alpine video bypass. The TR-7 is a MUST HAVE if you have an Alpine head units that has restricted functions when not in Park.

Great little unit, does exactly what it says. Comes pre-configured for the Alpine units and was super easy to install. Must have device to bypass the parking/footbrake requirements of the Alpine units.
