Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!! September 4, 2010 Jenna (Nevada) I know I didn't pay this much money for it. I think I paid $40 for it so not sure why the price jumped up.
We are remodeling our kitchen and just got brand new stainless steel appliances. I was cooking one night and spaghetti sauce splattered up on to my stove and microwave. I used the green part of the sponge to try to get it off. I did not know it would scratch that easily. There were so many scratches it stuck out like a sore thumb. Every time I looked at the appliances it made me sick to my stomach. I decided to give this a try since we spent so much money on the appliances I figured I had nothing to lose. They look great now and I'm so happy I decided to give this a try. You can't see any of the scratches that were there before. So thank you again Scratch-b-gone. You were a life saver for me :)
DO NOT USE ON NEW APPLIANCES!! September 3, 2010 ANTHONY A. MINGEE (Carlsbad, CA, US) We purchased a brand new Samsung Stainless Steel Refrigerator from Sears Outlet and unfortunately it had a small, but noticeable scratch on the face of the fridge. I bought this product in hopes on repairing the scratch. What this product does is similar to what sandpaper does to wood. It will "remove" a surface scratch by making new scratches until eventually the orginal scratch is "sanded down" and lost in a spider web of smaller scratches. Now, instead of a small scratch on the door, I have a large area on the door that looks completely different and brighter then the rest of the refrigerator.
What this product is good for, I guess, is to cover up scratches on heavy used or damaged appliance, such as a bbq or sinks, by resurfacing the grain of the appliance. If you don't plan on "sanding down" the entire surface of your appliance, then DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT! NOT INTENTED FOR NEW APPLIANCES OR LARGE SURFACES!
Great scratch remover! August 2, 2010 R. Mulet (Brooklyn, NY USA) I was able to remove most scratches (swirls) on my grill. I used the wrong pad in the beginning and realized that a little too late. Problem was that I was doing this outside and the fluid is petroleum based and evaporates very quickly. When I switched to the coarser pad, I only had a few drops left. Try to do indoors. The grill looks amazing though! Definitely worth getting. BTW: READ THE DIRECTIONS/WATCH THE ENCLOSED DVD!!!!!
Worked great July 12, 2010 Bud This item worked just as it said. It was a fast easy repair and restored my refridgerator door to new condition. Very happy with product.
Worked Great for Me June 18, 2010 Spanakopitus (USA) An inexperienced member of my usually capable housecleaning crew left our $1,000 stainless steel hood looking awful. She had taken a green scrubby and rubbed hard--across the grain of the stainless. I learned about this product online, tracked down the only remaining kit in our local appliance repair store, read the accompanying DVD, and applied as recommended.
My hood is back to looking new.
